Mrs. Jane Ann Ray, of Fayetteville, passed away on July 27, 2012, at the age of 76. Jane was a loving wife, mother and “Nana”. She was a caring Christian woman who enjoyed making life special and always wanted the very best for her family. She will be remembered for routinely sending cards to her friends, family, and those in need, whether celebrating special events or comforting them in times of sickness or sorrow. Jane is preceded in death by her grandson Steven Ray, sister, Frances Henry and brother, Robert Dorough. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bobby Russell Ray, Sr.; sons Bobby Russell Ray, Jr. and his wife Carol of Peachtree City, Craig Steven Ray and his wife Tish of Cleveland, GA; grandchildren Adrienne Johnson and her husband Bryan of Goodwater, AL, Robert Bryce Ray of Cleveland, GA, Brian Evans Ray of Peachtree City, Abigail Elizabeth Ray of Peachtree City, Madelynn Alexandria Ray of Cleveland, GA; great-grandchildren Brianna Ray, Riley Ray, Kensleigh Johnson; brothers Wayne Dorough of Martin, GA, Tommy Dorough and his wife Shurleen of Hapeville, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Rev. Buddy Waldron and Rev. Paul Carder will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
