Robert E. Storey, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away on February 16, 2012. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Mr. Storey retired with the Fayette County School System as a bus driver after many years of service. He was a long time member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Storey. He is survived by his brother, Leroy (Louise) Storey of Loganville; sisters-in-law, Syble Storey of Newnan; Jackie (Bill) Thomason of Monticello; Christine Peeples of Woolsey; nephew, Thomas (Patty) Storey of Sharpsburg and niece, Judy (Bernie) Fisher of Monticello; also several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Mr. Storey will lie in state beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service. Rev. Glenn Stringham will officiate. The burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
