Obituary for William F. Walters

William “Bill” Franklin Walters, 85, of Peachtree City, passed away February 15, 2017. Bill served in the US Marine Corp from 1950 – 1953. He then worked for the US Government Printing Office for 30 years. He was a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Bill loved cars, plants, and the Washington Redskins. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kay Walters; daughter, Nan (Rick) Carey; son, Jack Walters; daughter, Lee Ann Walters; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 12:00 PM, in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. David Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
