Obituary for Walter Morgan Mills, Jr.

Walter Morgan Mills, Jr., 57, of Atlanta passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Born on May 17, 1960 in Atlanta, Walter Morgan was the beloved son of Dr. and Mrs. Walter and Sue Mills.

Walter attended Woodward Academy and received a business degree in marketing from Georgia State University. He was also a graduate of American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona Beach, Florida. His creative talents were expressed in many ways including his work with hand-painted gourds. He owned a decorative fencing business in Edgewater, Florida.

Walter was full of life and was a very generous and kind man with many friends. He was a member of Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta.

Walter was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frances and Dan Stone, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stark Mills and his sister, Lori Lee Mills. He is survived by his parents, Walter and Sue Mills.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his parents’ home at 425 Cameron Valley Court, N.W., Sandy Springs, GA, with Larry Cox and John White, friends of the family, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends at their residence on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 pm.
