Teresa Bizzarro Cole of Peachtree City, Ga, passed away peacefully August 27th, 2018 after a 2 ½ year battle with metastatic lung cancer.
Born in Dayton, Ohio on May 18, 1948, she was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Benjamin Bizzarro. Terrie is survived by son Keven Cole and daughter Kim (Gary) Battles. She has 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Terrie also leaves 3 brothers, one sister and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins to grieve her passing.
In the early 1970s Terrie moved from Ohio to Georgia, where she remained to raise her children, and became a Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves fan. She is retired from Avery Dennison, and a 40 year member of the charitable organization Delta Xi, a chapter of Sigma Beta Sorority. She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Midwest Food Bank in Peachtree City. She loved driving the forklift.
When America became involved in Desert Storm, Terrie, who grew up next to Wright Patterson AFB, and was a member of a family with many military veterans. She then began sending ‘goody’ boxes to units overseas. She was a true patriot and so appreciated those who served.
We wish to share our appreciation for the excellent care Terrie received by the Piedmont Hospital systems, and especially Dr. Jonathan Bender, another Ohio State Buckeye.
Terrie shared her love easily and was truly loved in return by family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, followed by a reception at Loreto Hall The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 6:00 PM t0 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM, at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
