Obituary for Nick Lester Hardin

Nick Lester Hardin, 73, of Fayetteville, passed away March 4, 2018. He was born in Copperhill, TN on December 10, 1944 to Frank James and Mary Ellen Hardin. Nick was an avid fisherman as well as a mechanic for Delta Airlines for 31 years. Nick proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Nick was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hardin on March 2, 2018; his sister, Phyllis Hardin Garrett in 2007; and his father, Franklin James Hardin in 1977. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Suzanne J. Hardin; sons, David (Sharla) Hardin and Steve (Rebecca) Hardin; mother, Ellen Hardin; brother, Frank Hardin; grandchildren, Megan Bowles, Jake Hardin, Nickolas Hardin, and Jessica Hardin; great-granddaughter, Emma Bowles and expecting two great-grandsons.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Brooks Memorial Gardens, Brooks. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers include; Jake Hardin, Craig Bowles, Nickolas Hardin, Chris Jenkins, Donnie Dubreuiel, and Keith Jenkins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Yaarab Shrine Children’s Hospital Fund, 400 Ponce De Leon Avenue, N.E. Atlanta, Georgia 30308,
