Obituary for John Respess Fuller, Jr.

John Respess Fuller, Jr. of Senoia, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the age of 83. He was born in Meriwether County on December 28, 1933 to the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Fuller, Sr..

John was a long time resident of Senoia, GA. He served on the city council for eight years and was an integral part of starting the City of Senoia Water Treatment Plant in 1982. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1989 after 32 years. He was a utility employee that often filled in for the paint department and was a lifelong member of the UAW. After retirement, he cared for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was skilled at woodworking and enjoyed making Brunswick stew. John was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Senoia for many years and was later an active member of New Hope Baptist Church.

John was preceded in death by his four siblings and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Fuller; his daughter, Carol (Bill) Vaughn; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on April 30, 2017 at Senoia City Cemetery in Senoia with Pastor Tim Woodruff officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
