Obituary for John Jones Kenty

John Jones Kenty, 72, of Hampton, GA, passed away on December 29, 2017. He was born on June 10, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to the late Robert and Cloyse Kenty. John proudly served his country as a C-130 pilot and retired as a Major in the United States Air Force. He was also the Commander of the ROTC program at Lovejoy High School for 17 years. He was a member of Lovejoy First United Methodist Church.

John is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Kenty and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Kenty; daughter, Elizabeth (Timothy) Jaudon; son, Chris (Allison) Kenty; grandchildren, Jordan Kenty, Jansen Kenty, and Ansley Kenty; sister, Shirley Hudel; and brother, Sterling Kenty.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Lovejoy First United Methodist Church 2177 Lovejoy Road, Lovejoy, GA with Pastor Teresa Lilja officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM EST at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
