Obituary for John Eugene Lee

Johnnie “John” Eugene Lee, 72, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017. A highly devoted father and grandfather, John was born on January 15, 1945 in Savannah, GA to the late James “Frank” and Anna Lee. He was a former member of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church of Peachtree City, a current member of St. Mark United Methodist Church of Atlanta, and a faithful servant of Christ.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Lee in 2003; his brother, Furman Lee in 2011, and his parents. He is survived by his son, Stephen (Tamara) Lee; grandsons, Caleb Stephen Lee and Elijah James Lee; sister, Eleanor Scarbrough; and sister-in-law, Kathy Lee.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, GA, with Rev. John Weber officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Savannah, GA.
