Obituary for Dale Brenford Workman

Dale Brenford Workman, 87, of Fayetteville passed away on September 27, 2017. He was born in Maysel, West Virginia on September 21, 1930 to the late Walter and Bertha Workman. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a 60 year member of the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge and a volunteer at Christian City for 30 years. He was retired from Eastern Airlines, where he worked as a mechanic for 23 years.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Denvil and Darrel; his sisters, Phyllis McNutt and Freda Mullins. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Workman; his sons, Brenford Workman (Sarita) and Kenneth Workman (Kathy); his grandchildren, Breanna Barnett (Josh), Chandler Workman, Caleb Workman, Connor Workman, Caroline Workman, Maddie Sullivan; his great-grandchild, Gavin Barnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Pastor Josh Saefkow officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge #711, W. Lanier Avenue, Fayetteville or to the Gideon’s Bible Ministry,
