Obituary for Charles "Mike" Michael Miller

Charles Michael “Mike” Miller, Sr., 66, of Fayetteville passed away on February 2, 2018. Mike was born in Atlanta on August 8, 1951 to the late Charles Miller & Ruth Wilson. Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968-1972 in the Vietnam War, where he became a disabled veteran due to exposure to Agent Orange. He was also the pastor at Jackson Drive Baptist Church for 5 years. He attended Clayton State College, and he also worked for PDQ Inc. for 25 years in Roswell, GA until his retirement in 2013.

Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years June Miller; sons, Michael (Laura) Miller, Jr. and Jason (Karen) Miller; grandson Grant Miller; granddaughters Brennan and Hayden Miller; sister Sandra (Fred) Young; brother Jerry (Marti) Miller; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Brother Ralph Easterwood and Pastor Stan Berrong of Glen Haven Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Mike will be buried at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Wednesday with military honors.
