Obituary for Bobby Leon Lawrence

Bobby Leon Lawrence, 80, of Fayetteville passed away July 4, 2018. He was born in Luverne, AL to Osman and Lena Lawrence on July 22, 1937. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and the US Coast Guard. He retired from Eastern Airlines where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. He was a devoted youth teacher in his church and taught Bible classes to many generations. He was a therapy dog handler that went into many locations to encourage and make other’s lives happier.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lawrence; sons, Steven (Leslie) Lawrence and Johnny Lawrence; grandchildren, Becky, Rachel, and Addison; brothers, Henry Fair and James Fair; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Dave Rogers will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to Midwestern Children’s Home, P.O. Box 48, Pleasant Plain, OH 45162-9987; the American Kidney Fund, P.O.
