William "Bill" Miret
February 2, 2010

William Francis “Bill” Miret, sixty four, died February 2, 2010. He passed over surrounded by loving family and friends, following surgical complications associated with a third battle against cancer. Bill was born in Lynn, MA on May 8, 1945, raised in Revere's Point of Pines, attended school at Immaculate Conception and then Northeastern University. He was a thirty seven year employee of Delta Airlines rising through the ranks to his current position of Duty Director, OCC. When on duty he oversaw the global operation of Delta Airlines.
Mr. Miret was preceded in death by his father, Francis W. Miret and his dear brother-in-law, Jerry Bopp. He is survived by his loving and beloved wife, George Ann (Bopp) Miret of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Genevieve (Driscoll) Miret; brother, Paul Miret and his wife Karen Miret of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister's-in-law, Patricia (Kennedy) Bopp of Davie, FL, Kathy (Bopp) Parramore of Tallahassee, FL; brother-in-law, Kevin Bopp of Sandford, FL. He also leaves behind three nieces, four nephews, two grandnieces, and three grandnephews. Sadly, he also leaves behind his chosen extended family of friends and associates, too numerous to count, along with Godchildren and a plethora of children who considered him their favorite "Uncle B." His Delta family also mourns his loss. He was larger than life, put the "Grand" in "Grand Entrance" and filled every room he entered with his joy for living. We grieve for those who never knew him.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Catholic Church of St. Gabriel at 10:00 AM with Father Michael McWhorter officiating.
