Mrs. Maynor Catherine Strickland, 95, of Forest Park, died July 2, 2009. Mrs. Strickland is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Strickland, Sr. and her son, Samuel E. Strickland, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Evangeline (Bill) Dawson of Charlotte, NC and Ann (Jerry) Walton of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Jane Strickland of Waco, GA; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
