Larry David Thrasher


Mr. Larry David Thrasher, Sr., 48, of Fayetteville, died April 13, 2009. Mr. Thrasher worked in sales and marketing at “Smithfield Food” for 14 years. He was also a personal trainer for “Thrasher Fitness”. He loved to work out and spend time with his kids.
Mr. Thrasher is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lucy Paxton Thrasher; daughter, Rachel Lauren Thrasher of Jonesboro; sons, Larry David “Lars” Thrasher, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, David Scott Thrasher of Atlanta and Morgan Castleman Thrasher of Jonesboro; brother, Roger Lynn Thrasher, Jr. and his wife Carrie of Stockbridge; sister, Sondra Nadine McBride and her husband Randy of Birmingham, AL; and mother, Anne Rudine Simonds of Locust Grove.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Fayetteville Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Rhyse Stenner officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 135 Bradford Square, Ste. B, Fayetteville, GA 30215.

Larry and I were very close in highSchool. I recently had connected back with him and it seemed like I was having trouble getting through. I wish you all the prayers of protection in this time of sadness. My heart is with you. I wish I could come to the Funeral Service. I will try.
