It was a blessing to have known Ritchie. The lives that he touched on a daily basis is amazing! Heaven is truly having a celebration. My prayers are with your family. Leslie Edmondson Terek on 11/18/2008 at 2:42 PM

Richie was such a blessing to us and our family. He showed us so much love and caring during our times of family members sickness and death. Richie was truly a prayer warrior. He loved The Lord and it showed! He will be missed in our neighborhood and at New Hope. It won't be the same without him, but we know he is rejoicing!! Our prayers and thoughts are with his family. We loved our chats with Richie. He was a remarkable man & truly loved by our church family. I hardly ever missed a Sunday kissing that little head except the last Sunday that he was there. We were leaving church early as I had just torn my cartilage the day before in the church road race. I was limping along in the vestibule heading to our car when Richie came towards us. He saw I was having a hard time & he actually looked a little preoccupied with his thoughts. So we just said "Hey Richie!" and kept walking/hobbling. I am so sorry that I didn't get the chance to say a proper hello and who would have known - a last goodbye. Thanks for sharing him with us the 22 years that we have known him. We just got the news of Mr. Ritchie's passing. We moved away from Fayettteville over two yrs ago, and lost touch with him. We were just saying the other day that we should go by and say hello. Had no idea he would be leaving all of us so soon. Mr. Ritchie prayed with both of us upon our being saved and baptized several years ago at New Hope, and we will always remember his bright, smiling face in the lobby on Sunday morning. Can't imagine the loss the church and his family is feeling tonight. We will pray for his family and all of New Hope to have peace over his loss. The angels are singing tonight!!
