It seems like just a day or two ago that I ran into Walter at Melear's one morning. As always he was quick with a smile and a hello and a fond remembrance of days gone by. He will be missed. Tom Kerlin on 11/13/2008 at 3:31 PM

I remember Walter so well, as when I was on the B-team football at Fayette County High, and he was on the Varsity team and we would practice together under Coaches Jimmy Allen and Larry Nash and I always seemed to end up on the losing end,he and Kerry Day were always very polite after giving heavy hits that made my ARMY days look easy. He was a very nice guy, my sincere condolencesHerb y Herb Pridgeon on 11/17/2008 at 4:32 PM
