Virginia Lewis

Virginia Monroe Lewis, 82, of Fayetteville died September 30, 2008. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband George T. Lewis, Jr., father Monroe Blalock and mother Beulah S. Baker. She is survived by daughters Brenda and Jay Meier of Fayetteville, Sandi and Kim Berry of Plainville, Vicki and Ricky Padgett of Lindale, and Shirley Lewis and Michael Goulet of Morrow; sons Larry Lewis and Caren Davis of High Falls and Danny and Kim Lewis of High Falls; sisters-in-law Myrtle Haley of College Park and Edith Lewis of Boone County, KY; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 granddog and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of C.J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Pastor Paul Carder and Pastor Howard Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in College Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
