Norma Lee Clifton, 74, of Fayette County passed away at her home March 7, 2008. Mrs. Clifton was a member of Fayette Presbyterian Church where she was the first woman elder, she was also a member of the Presbytery. Mrs. Clifton was a graduate of Georgia State University Suma Cum Laude. Survivors include Sons and Daughter in laws Jon & Bobbie Clifton of Orlando, FL. Jeff Clifton & Laura Shamrock of Fayetteville, and Greg & Frances Clifton of Fayetteville, Daughter & Son in law Connie & Butch Peacock of Newnan, Ward Jeannie Cooper of Panama City Beach FL., 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, Sisters Dorothy Bruce and Ruth Hester both of Salem, IL. And also nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Fayetteville Chapel with Rev. Cliff Haddox officiating. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Fayette County Education Foundation or Harbor Grace Hospice.
