Sara Smith

Sara J. Smith, 79, loving wife, mother, and grandmother died June 16, 2008. She is survived by her husband Bill T. Smith of Fayetteville; daughter Cheryl Smith Lee and husband Dr. Dave C. Lee of Fayetteville; son Michael G. Smith and wife Vicky H. Smith of McDonough; grandchildren Michelle Smith, Meridith Smith, Brittany Smith, Lauren Lee, Jennifer Lee, and Taylor Lee; sisters June Starr and Henrietta Lewis; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with Rev Mark Westmoreland officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at the church at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

We were so sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Smith. What a wonderful neighbor she and your dad always were on Woodland Drive. We have nothing but wonderful memories of her sweet spirit and caring heart for all that she came in contact with. She was truly "the keeper of the neighborhood"!! We are so sad to hear that our precious friend and neighbor has passed. She was a wonderful neighbor, always visiting the sick, personally delivering flowers, food and sometimes just a listening ear. (Who can ever forget her perly stew?) Please know that she was loved by so many! She will be sorely messed by all who knew her. Much love and many prayers for her family.
