Becky West

Rebecca Ruth West, “Becky”, 56, of Peachtree City passed away March 2, 2010. Mrs. West was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Greg West; daughters and son in laws Amanda & Charley Adams of Baltimore, MD and Adrianne & Christopher Junius of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Scarlette Rebecca Adams, Elizabeth Rebecca & Emily Christina Junius; mother Clora Griffith. Funeral services 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church with Rev. Herzen Andone officiating. The burial will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to all the friends who supported them through Becky’s illness.

I worked with Becky for two years at the Clayton County Finance Department. She was one of the kindest, sweetest, and most gentle persons that I believe I have ever had the pleasure to work with, she is greatly missed. I am flight attendant with Delta airlines.I have flown with Greg on multiple trips.I was on Greg's trip on Tuesday when he was told of Becky's passing. It was a very emotional time for the whole crew. I want to send my thoughts and prayers to Greg and his family. It had been a long, hard fight for all of you. I hope the thought that Becky is now at peace will help ease your sorrow. I know she will be greatly missed. Chlora,Greg and family, I always sit to your right and one row forward at church. Even though I do not really know your family, I have known Chlora and Orville for years. They were on a trip to Nashville TN in 1992 to the Grand 'Ole Opera with my parents, Claude and Adelaide Fryer, when my mother died quite suddenly. My dad and I had dinner with Chlora and Orville that evening before her death and I will always remember their kindness. I have been following Becky through him and you have been in my prayers. We will miss our cousin Becky. We have many wonderful times to reflect on. We remember all of the huge family gatherings Aunt Clora, Uncle Orville, and Becky had at their house and the wonderful vacations they would take us on. We always had a great time with them.
